Editing beach portraits in Lightroom

how to edit beach photos

Out of all the photography scenarios I have been encountered with, editing beach photos in Lightroom has proven to be the most challenging task yet.

As a natural light photographer, trying to get perfect exposure for the sky, water, and my subjects proved it's way to be near impossible - even at sunset. Next time, I'll bring my flash, but in the meantime, let me show you how to fix these mistakes in Lightroom instead.

After years of learning Lightroom, experimenting, and getting to know the tools like the back of my hand, I am thrilled to be able to salvage these ho-hum photos & really brighten them up with the beach vision I had going into this session!

After watching the video, leave me a comment below to let me know how much this tutorial has been helpful to you - I want to know!

Now that I can comfortably edit my not-so-great beach photos, I think it's time for a re-location to become a beach photographer, or at the very least another vacation in the books.

If you love the colorful, happy look and are intrigued about the radical preset I used in this video, take a gander at the complete Life in Color collection here.

How will you use the tips I showed you today in your photo editing? Let me know by leaving me a comment below! xoxo
